Q: How do I get started with advertising?
Before we can advertise your business for you, we'll need to know the answers to the following questions:
1. What are you selling?
If we don't know what you're selling, we can't help you sell it. You can advertise one thing, or many things. Either way, we need to know what you want to promote.
2. What is special about what you're selling?
The answer may be nothing. However, if there is something special about what you're selling or if there's something special about how you sell it, then we need to know so we can use that in your advertising!
3. Who are you selling to?
We know you want to say everybody. However, not everyone will want what you are selling. So when you answer this question try to think about what type of customer will most want what you're selling. For example, vegitarians will NOT want to buy meat you're selling. They WILL want to buy meat substitute you're selling. So envision the perfect customer in your mind and then describe him or her to us.
4. When do you want your advertising up and running?
Will you want to start in a month, or tomorrow?
5. What are your goals?
Do you want 100 new customers? Do you want to make $100,000 more? Do you want to get 10,000 new Twitter followers? Once we know your goals, we can help you achieve them.
6. How much do you want to invest in your advertising?
Your advertising budget will determine what types of advertising is available to you as well as how much advertising you'll get. We can get you customers for $1000 and we can get you a whole lot more customers for $100,000. If you don't know what your budget should be, then use our calculator and give us a realistic range. In some cases your budget will be more than enough to achieve your goals and we'll advise you to lower it. In other cases your budget won't be enough to achieve your goals and we'll advise you about that too.
7. What other advertising are you already doing?
If we don't know what you're already doing, then we may suggest the same thing and that would be a waste of everyone's time. So let us know what you're already doing as well as how well it's (not) working for you.
Let us know those things and we'll be more than happy to put together a strategic advertising plan that will get you to where you want to be.
