BUSINESS DESCRIPTION:
Christians Date was established as a way for christians to safely meet people online who share their interests. If you are looking for Pen Pals, Friendship, Dating, Love, or Marriage then you can create a free profile and join the fun.
PROBLEMS:
Canyor ministries wanted to setup a fully functional online personals site while remaining within a very limited budget. They wanted to start out as a free site, with the ability to easily become a pay site at some point in the future. Rudimentary e-commerce was also required so that the site can expand its income sources in the future.
SOLUTIONS:
- Built a low-maintenance site that allows members a lot of freedom and functionality.
- Created an effective, fast, instant messaging system that blends seemlessly into the site.
- Setup custom content management tools that allow Canyor to manage almost every aspect of the web site's content.
- Embedded a comprehensive administrative package to allow for full control over all member functions.
- Generated e-mail broadcasting tools to allow Canyor to keep in touch with all members with very little effort.
- Automated new member signup's and enabled the site to easily function in FREE or PAY mode.
TECHNOLOGY NOTES: This project uses:
- Active Server Pages (ASP) for all web pages.
- Microsoft SQL Server 2000 as a content storage backend.
- TyCoMa content management tools.
